OpenReport Next Generation?
April 23rd, 2006
Now that OpenReports 1.0 has been released, it’s time to start thinking about the future of OpenReports.
The development of the next generation of OpenReports will be driven largely by community feedback and contributions. If you have a feature request or a bug you would like fixed, please submit them to the OpenReports project on SourceForge.
If you would like to become part of the OpenReports development team, the best way to get started is to fix a bug or implement a new feature and post your changes as a patch to the SourceForge project. As always, some documentation or background information is helpful.

Hi,
I am not sure if this is possible but it would be good to be able to integrate OpenReports to a portal. You could make it a portlet(s).

The current plan is to release OpenReports Portal Edition in June. The OpenReports functionality will be divided into a number of JSR-168 compatible portlets.

I thought OpenReports Potal Edition was already released last year.. OpenReports is an excellent project. Im just wondering if OpenReports will continue to use XWork’s deprecated IOC. Webwork recommends Spring as IoC container. But anyway, there’s no problem using Webwork’s builtin IoC.

I was wondering if the product can integrate itself with data files with DDF file extensions (Data Dictionary Files )??
